Marleaux is a bass company located in Germany and founded by Gerald Marleaux.

Marleaux has been building basses since 1990, and his unparalleled passion for quality and attention to detail has led to him being acknowledged as one of the greatest builders currently around.

Gerald hand-picks the wood in the local area around his workshop and treats the woods like a true artisan. Time and attention is put into proper storage, treatment and drying of the woods so their inherent sonic characteristics and qualities shine through uncompromised.

The Tiuz 5 is the newest member of the Marleaux family. It has all the flavors that you’d expect from a Marleaux bass. A fast response, a snappy and present high-end, rich and detailed harmonics and a tight low-end.

The core of the body is Chestnut with a spalted maple top and a maple back as well.  The fingerboard and neck is all maple.

The heart of this bass is the new BC4 four-band onboard preamp, which is unbelievably versatile.  If you’re a true tone tweaker, and rarely feel that Bass, Low Mid, High Mid and Treble are enough to perfectly adjust your tone, then you have no reason to fret here since the Tiuz 5 sports three dip switches on the back of the bass where you can select different frequencies for each band. For the two mid-sections you can select three different frequencies and for bass and treble you can select between two.

This allows you to dial in your own personal tone for any surroundings, amp, cab or style you may play.

This is a bass that’ll continue to surprise and inspire you throughout your entire musical career, as every turn of a pot and flick of a switch yields new incredible tones that’ll put a huge smile on your face. This is a new superb member of the Marleaux family, if you ask me.
