Tone Hammer Preamp

Born on tour buses and shaped in New York studios, the Aguilar Tone Hammer Preamp/DI has earned its stripes as one of the most versatile and trusted tone tools out there. Whether you’re chasing clean articulation, vintage warmth, or a little growl in the mids, this box delivers with ease.

At the heart of the Tone Hammer is Aguilar’s signature 3-band EQ with a sweepable midrange—perfect for sculpting your tone to fit any mix or rig. The updated Drive circuit gives you everything from subtle tube-like saturation to full-on punchy grit, now with a dedicated Drive control and footswitch for hands-free changes.

Need headroom? The 18-volt operation gives you plenty of it. And whether you’re hitting the stage or the studio, the Tone Hammer’s DI is clean, powerful, and ready to plug straight into a front-of-house or recording interface.

Plus, with the added Aux In and Headphone Out, it doubles as a silent practice rig—great for warming up backstage or jamming at home.
