Sandberg California VM5 Roquefort Blue Masterpiece
Holger Stonjek is a man that lives and breathes bass guitars and has been building basses since 1986. He has done it with such massive success that Sandberg is now one of the biggest brands in the bass community.
The focus from Sandberg has always been to produce high-quality instruments at an accessible price point. Hence you get a great and well-balanced bass for the money every single time when you choose Sandberg.
The VM5 is no exception to that. With its Alder body and Rosewood fingerboard you get a combination that has a fast and gritty and power to it, and at the same time a very refined mid-range that pops out and through in very pleasing way. Its maple neck has a narrow profile and hence it’s very easy to play on.
The bass comes with Sandberg’s own split coil and power humbucker which blend perfectly together and creates a good balanced tone for the instrument. The preamp is Sandberg’s own 2-band EQ which cuts and adds just the right frequencies for this bass.
If you’re looking for a powerful yet detailed and rich-sounding bass, then this beauty could easily be your new weapon of choice.
